About this project
A GTA IV port of chasm's SkyCraft. Minecraft Java 26.3 with Fabric runs hidden and owns movement, inventory and blocks; LibertyCraft.asi, built on IV-SDK, draws the blocks in Liberty City with Direct3D 9 and puppets Niko, with both sides talking over a shared-memory file. The installer downgrades GTA IV: The Complete Edition to 1.0.8.0 and adds the ASI loader, FusionFix and ZolikaPatch; you also need Prism Launcher and an owned Minecraft account. It was developed on Linux under Proton, and release builds include Windows and Linux installers.
- Place blocks and mobs on Liberty City streets, lit by GTA IV's sun
- Crossbow fireworks explode like GTA rockets and bring down helicopters
- Minecraft water floods streets and stalls traffic
- A nether portal leads to a block copy of Broker
- Your Minecraft character stands in for Niko in cutscenes and cars
Requirements and setup
GTA IV: The Complete Edition on Steam (the installer downgrades it to 1.0.8.0 and installs FusionFix and ZolikaPatch), owned Minecraft: Java Edition with Prism Launcher (Minecraft 26.3, Fabric, Java 25 fetched by Prism). Windows release installs use install-windows.bat (PowerShell 5.1). Linux installs use install-linux.sh and need bash, curl, unzip, python3, tar, sha256sum, with Proton (developed on Arch). Source builds need the documented toolchains.
