About this project

A passthrough mod built on chasm's SkyCraft. An OWML mod for Outer Wilds and a patched SkyCraft Fabric mod for Minecraft 26.3 share memory: Minecraft simulates the player and blocks against the planet surface, and Outer Wilds draws the blocks with its own lighting plus Minecraft's hand and HUD. Install it through the Outer Wilds Mod Manager, then add the jar and Fabric API (Fabric Loader 0.19.5 or newer) to Minecraft. The creator tested it on one Windows PC and reports building, TNT and walking at 60 fps.

  • F6 switches between the spacesuit and Minecraft mode
  • Place and break blocks, open the inventory and light TNT on planets
  • Builds persist through time loops and restarts
  • F5 third person draws the Minecraft body on the planet
Requirements and setup

Outer Wilds on Steam with its Mod Manager, an owned Minecraft Java Edition copy, Minecraft 26.3, Fabric Loader 0.19.5 or newer and the corresponding Fabric API. The creator describes testing on one Windows PC; broader compatibility is not established.
