About this project

An installer script that sets up chasmlol's SkyCraft on a Steam Deck or any Linux PC running Steam's Skyrim Special Edition under Proton, without a mod manager. It installs SKSE64, Address Library, SkyCraft and optionally Alternate Start into Skyrim's Data folder, unpacks SkyCraft's portable Prism Launcher into Skyrim's Proton prefix, and points Steam's Play button at SKSE. It also adds Controlify so the Deck's controller drives the Minecraft side. The README says it was tested end to end on desktop Arch Linux with Skyrim 1.7.104 and Proton Experimental, but not yet on Steam Deck hardware.

  • Installs SKSE64, Address Library and SkyCraft into a Proton install
  • Launches Skyrim through SKSE from Game Mode
  • Adds Controlify for controller play on the Minecraft side
  • Opens Prism inside Skyrim's prefix for the Microsoft sign-in
