SubCraft
Connects Minecraft physics, blocks and mobs to Subnautica's world and rendering.
At your own risk. We link, never host. Safety
About this project
A hidden Minecraft 1.21.1 instance on NeoForge runs beside Subnautica, and the two exchange data through one shared-memory file with a fixed binary protocol. Minecraft owns the player's physics, inventory, combat and blocks; Subnautica owns terrain, creatures, light, sound and saves, and its BepInEx plugin draws Minecraft's blocks and mobs as its own lit geometry. The architecture and parts of the link code come from SkyCraft. The README marks it as early development, and no release is published.
- Minecraft blocks drawn and lit by Subnautica's shaders, above and under water
- Minecraft weapons damage Subnautica creatures, and their bites hurt the Minecraft player
- Third-person view of the Minecraft character with F5
- Minecraft gameplay sounds play through Subnautica's audio, muffled underwater
Requirements and setup
Subnautica with the SubCraft BepInEx plugin, and a hidden Minecraft 1.21.1 (NeoForge) instance running the guest mod.
