Runs Minecraft movement, blocks, inventory and combat inside Valheim while both games stay active.
About this project
A passthrough mod based on SkyCraft: a hidden Minecraft Java 26.3 instance with a Fabric mod forked from SkyCraft's simulates the player, and a BepInEx plugin in Valheim sends nearby collision to Minecraft, moves the Valheim character to match and draws Minecraft's blocks, entities, hand and HUD in Valheim's frame. The release zip imports into Gale or r2modman and brings BepInEx; on first launch it unpacks a portable Prism Launcher to %LOCALAPPDATA%\ValCraft for the Microsoft sign-in. You need Valheim on Steam, an account that owns Minecraft Java, and about 3 GB of extra RAM. Not to be confused with strangemap/valcraft, a separate project with the same name.
- TNT blows craters in Valheim terrain and breaks its trees, rocks and buildings
- Minecraft boats float and ride Valheim's waves
- Minecraft weapons hit Valheim creatures, and their hits come back as Minecraft damage
- Minecraft mobs spawn by Valheim biome and fight Valheim's monsters
- A Minecraft hoe levels ground and lays paths through Valheim's hoe menu
Requirements and setup
Valheim on Steam, an owned Minecraft: Java Edition account, and roughly 3 GB of additional RAM for the Minecraft guest. The creator documents Gale/r2modman-style mod-manager setup and an optional guided installer.
