Juni Emu: GBA in Minecraft
A Forge mod that plays Game Boy Advance cartridges inside Minecraft, found in generated game stores.
About this project
A Forge mod that plays Game Boy Advance games in Minecraft through Libretro's gpSP core. Emulation runs outside Minecraft and the display is shown in a Minecraft GUI. Game Cases found in abandoned Game Stores give cartridges loaded with a random ROM from your own roms folder, and each cartridge holds its own save, synced with the server in multiplayer. The author says Linux Mint was the main test platform, Windows is confirmed to work, and netplay works over LAN but has not been tested successfully over the internet.
- Find Game Cases in generated Game Stores
- Slot cartridges into a GBA item like a bundle
- Per-cartridge saves synced with the server
- GBA wireless-adapter netplay over LAN
Requirements and setup
Forge for Minecraft 1.20.1–1.20.6 on both client and server, and the player's own GBA ROMs in the mod's roms folder.
